We take a systematic approach to manage impacts on environment

Through our work, we always aim to manage and address any related impacts on surrounding enviroment and local communities. To ensure our committment, we strictly follow and comply with environmental regulation and laws at all times. For emerging regulations, we may seek to participate in their development, while preparing for compliance with the likely applicable regulations. We also take other measurements into consideration as below.

A. Energy efficiency

Improving energy efficiency can help us to minimize our environmental impacts, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other air emissions. There can also be powerful economic incentives to reduce energy use.
As part of our operating system, we require our operations to consider their energy use into their business plans and to assess, prioritize and implement technologies and systems to improve energy use.

B. Water

Managing the availability of water resources is likely to be one of the key challenges for governments, businesses and society in the coming decades. Our operation has been facing huge amount of wastewater which is leaked from MSW everyday, in fact, the leachate takes up to 50% of the total weight. It is a problematic issue, particularly in the tropical country like Vietnam.
We consider risks and opportunities, such as water scarcity, wastewater disposal and the long-term social and environmental pressures on water resources within the local area.

C. Emission effecting air quality

The majority of emissions from TSN’s operations come from waste, combustion of fossil fuels for vehicle use, incineration. At our operating sites, we manage emissions to air through our operating systems, developing plans to comply with applicable legislation and aiming to minimize any potential impacts. We monitor our emissions to air and ambient air quality to check our performance against our plans.
